daniellexteig-deactivated201204 asked: I absolutely love your paintings. They are really inspiring to me. It's a lot like the work I wanna do when i'm older haha. What inspired you to do art work? :)
Well I guess most of it is from just always enjoying artwork in general. I grew up in a household where creativity was something that happend all the time. Both of my parents are creative types, not just painting but all kinds of hands on building and crafting, so I think it was destiny haha! Also its a big outlet for me. I’ve always been a bit socially akward. I’ve tried being the fun hang out party person in my life but it never quite works out. People either love me or I seriously rub them the wrong way with my dorky antics. So through my art I’ve found a way to have lots of friends without the akward moments. It’s strange but I really get along best with other creative folks and people who enjoy art, they kinda get me you know? So at the end of the day I paint becuase I love panting and the interaction of sharing my work. I’m almost obsessive compulsive about it. I’m horrible at sharing everything except for my art. When I finish a painting sometimes I don’t even sleep for a day becuase I get all excited about what others think about the piece. But at the end of the day I have so many inspirations I couldn’t even begin to list them, it’s the sharing that really keeps me going. If you are worried about your style now just keep going, I’ve been painting professionally for about 5 years and only in the past 2 of them have I really felt like I’ve started to define my own style. So just keep at it and you’ll find your passion!
